New ICANN regulations
New rules about .com domains registrations
Starting on January 1st, 2014 ICANN introduced a number of important registry changes or modifications in whois data domains . Earlier this summer, the International Bank that governs the allocation of names (ICANN ) released an updated version of the Registrar Accreditation Agreement (RAA), containing several mandatory changes for Infortelecom's customers .
The main changes were:
- Full details for WHOIS records for all domain names are now required.
- In addition to requiring " complete " data WHOIS , ICANN asks for the address, phone and email to be in a correct format.
- ICANN has requested the Registrar to verify the email address associated with the registrant contact new domain name registrations .
- An email will be sent to the email address of the new owner to verify the receipt of the new information for both registration Name , Last Name or an email requesting verification by clicking on the link sent to the new contact .
